Configuration your Email

Sending Email from a Group Email Address


Here are the steps for setting a "send from" address in your gmail account using a web browser (like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox, etc...).


Notes:

- You can set any group email to be available as a “from” address when you compose emails using these instructions.

- You can also set your gmail to reply from the same address the email was received on by default (see step 8)


Log in to your gmail from a browser, and do the following:


1. Click on settings on the top right


2. Click on See all settings


3. Click on Accounts

4. In the end mail as section, click Add another email address


5. Type in staff@stirlingmill.ca (or whatever email you own/are associated with that you want to send mail from) and leave everything else as is.


6. Click Send Verification.


7. Click the confirmation email link that you receive at staff@stirlingmill.ca

8. Go back to the Accounts section of your Gmail settings, and make sure that "Reply from the same address the message was sent to” is selected—this will make it so that your replies to people that have sent you emails to @staff will receive your reply from @staff as well
